Loss-X
2001
Loss-X 2001 is a
loss accounting tool developed for ABB Limited a global leader in power
and automation technologies. It is used to help manage information relating
to production processes. Companies aiming for manufacturing excellence
use it to access and optimise their plant utilisation.

It is designed to
be used in a large number of industries, including chemical, petrochemical,
pharmaceutical and manufacturing.
The key features include:
- Automated graph
and reports production: OEE, pareto charts, waterfall, data export,
etc

- Handles Batch,
Semi Batch and Continuous plants.
- Can collect any
combination of time or quantity data.
- Allows the collection
of root cause information about production losses.
- A maximum of
five levels of cause can be configured. The cause tree is designed
to be easy to navigate using a Windows Explorer type interface.
- Any production
process can be broken down into 5 stages.
- Easy data entry
with automatic validation.
- Full data search.
- Post production
quality losses can be entered into the system.
- Easy to maintain
- product, cause and database utilities built into the system.
- Works on a standalone
PC or as a networked system.
- Context sensitive
help is provided throughout the application.
- It is a configurable,
generic system which can easily be tailored to meet the different
requirements of each customer.
Loss-X 2001 was
designed and developed by Cybertron. It uses a Microsoft SQL Server
Database and was developed using Visual Basic 6. The product has been
a great success within ABB and is now in use at around 15 sites. Cybertron
continue to enhance and support the product.
